Edits / Instagram for Creators / Profile
Your profile decides whether a viewer follows. Edits is a free, no-watermark editor for the pinned intro, the grid-friendly covers and the consistent look: a teleprompter camera, captions and clean export.
When someone finds a Reel they like, they often tap through to your profile before they follow. What they see is your photo, bio, link, pinned posts and the grid. Guides report the grid now shows thumbnails at 3:4, so square and landscape posts get cropped.
Edits does not change your bio or photo. You do that in Instagram. Edits helps with the videos and covers that fill the page, so the grid looks like one account instead of a random mix.
Tip: check how a cover looks as a small 3:4 crop before posting. If the text is hard to read there, make it bigger.
Sizes come from third-party guides and Instagram changes the grid from time to time, so treat them as a starting point.
Use the Edits teleprompter camera for a short, clean hello. Add captions.
Make the first frame a clear title. Keep text inside the middle 4:5 area of a 1080 by 1920 video.
Export with no watermark and share to Instagram as a Reel.
Tap the three dots on the Reel and choose pin to main grid. You can pin up to three, reportedly.
Already posted? A guide says Adjust Preview in the post's three-dot menu lets you change how it shows on the grid. Check the app.
